Introducing Drew Tabor.

I have some of the best news to tell all you pop cynics out there. It’s news to everyone in fact. It is now officially acceptable to like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Nicky Minaj and Lady Gaga. Oh and Rebecca Black, thrown in for good measure. That is if you didn’t have a secret stash of their songs iPod already.

So why have I made it official you ask? Well, my dears, I was recently pointed in the direction of Drew Tabor, ‘just a ginger with a dream’ or just a special and enormously talented singer. Take your pick. She takes hideous your not so favourite songs and transforms them into mystical, stirring acoustic renditions. One cannot stop listening. Simply magical. Wouldn’t you agree?

Oh and Lady Gaga has given Drew her stamp of approval, from the looks of it she is going to go far.

Adele. Rolling In The Deep.

So Adele is back. Not that she went anywhere really, a short hiatus that’s all. Allow me to introduce to you one of my favourite songs for 2010 – or what’s left of it – ‘Rolling In The Deep’. It’s soulful, playful with a heap of R&B and ultimately totally encapsulates Adele’s unique sound. What’s not to like? Really now.

British DJ/producer Dan Clare made a fun little club remix of the song which you can get here. I’m not sure if I love or I hate the remix yet. What do you think?

p.s. Adele is scheduled to release her second album 21 on 24th January 2011 in the UK – I simply can’t wait for it.

My songs of the day are ‘old’ (in terms of being on the charts), but I loove them anyways!

They are ‘Hometown Glory (Axwells’ Club Mix)’ by Adele and ‘C’est La Vie (the Original Club Mix)’ by Martin Solveig both on the The Ministry of Sounds’ Dance Annual for 2009!
