Fenech-Soler. Demons. Alan Wilkis remix.

Yelle has called his Temper Trap remix one of her favourites. This Brooklyn based musician is multi-instrumentalist and an all round remarkable producer. He has recorded and released two critically-acclaimed solo albums to date (”Pink and Purple” and “Babies Dream Big”). Oh and he has created official remixes for Yeasayer, RJD2, Phoenix, The Temper Trap, Phantogram, The Very Best, Shwayze, and many more. Meet my new favourite, Alan Wilkis.

Now, I just love Fenech-Soler and when I got Wilkis’s remix of ‘Demons’ I was in heaven. It is twinkly and has just a streak of grimey pop. He was channelling his “inner-Timbaland” on this one and it shows. Don’t you just love it?

What’s better than an electropop group from Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire  in sequins? I’m not sure so I’ll let Fenech – Soler take the cake with this one. Meet my favourite new band. Ok, so they arent that new, having been around since 2006 but still, I can pretend after only stumbling upon them now. A travesty, I know!

They have started to take over the airwaves in the US and UK. Plus they’re joining the likes of La Roux, Klaxons and Hercules & Love Affair for Poland’s Selector Festival. Not too shabby.
