D is For Delightful. Free tickets to Cyberpunkers.

29 Apr

The “Cyberpunkers” project is the child, born in 2006, of the passion for Cyberpunk culture of two young Italian DJ’s. Think electronic music, fashion, design and photography. In a nutshell, a transposition of the Cyberpunk world in modern clubbing . Cyberpunkers shared the stage of the biggest electronic European festivals with such worldwide stars. Now it is time for their “Fuck the System” World Tour in South Africa.

Known for blazing dancefloors across the globe, The ‘Punkers blew up Discotheque last year for one of the most insane nights ever. Now they are back. On Friday 6 May, The Assembly plays  host to  The Cyberpunkers along with Kennedy, Audiophile021, Bruce WIllis?? Battle Beyond the Stars, Dank, George Daniel and many more.

As for the Pretoria party at Capitol Theater on the 7th of May, Double Adapter, Liver, Kennedy and Destrukto will take to the main stage ensuring quality entertainment. For all the and coming DJ’s, Young Blood is a new DJ movement founded by GRIET; a dance floor that only showcases new up and coming Dj’s with potential, Gettafix, Doobie, Vinny Vegas, MakAttack VS The Tourist and Minx will be showcasing their skills.

I have a set of double tickets to give away for the Cape Town and Pretoria legs of the tour. All you have to do is tell me or tweet me why you’d like to go. It’s that simple really.

You excited? You should be. It’s going a set of crazy parties!

Weekend Roundup.

4 Aug

From the looks of things on Twitter and Facebook, everyone is going to OppiKoppi this weekend. Except me. Not that I particularly mind. Much. Let it not be said Cape Town won’t be the second coolest place to be to dance your face off.

Let’s start with Friday. Discotheque sees superstar German DJ Fuckkk Offf gracing Assembly, along side him  will be Boom Monk Ben, P.H FAT, El Gordo, Liver and MC Bakaman. It’s going to be an unforgettable party!

On to Saturday, it’s Homegrown at Mercury. Need I say more? Assembly plays host to I Scream & The Chocolate Stix as well as some of my favourite DJ’s including Lapse, VGA and The Sound. If that’s not enough weekend goodness Billy Talent will also be playing at the 3 Arts Theatre on Saturday with Van Coke Kartel and Taxi Violence among their supporting acts.

Sound like it’s going to be a good weekend? I couldn’t agree more.
